It is a conservation technique
intended to provide aesthetic harmony when mending photographs.
You need:
- Acrylic colors
- Glass container
- Tray
- Filtered water
- Japanese paper
How to do
- Choose the colors that you want to use and mix them with water in a glass container. I wanted to get brown color and I choose yellow ochre, burnt umber light and raw umber.
- Pour the liquid (colored water) in a tray.
- Dip the Japanese paper into the colored water and hang it to dry over the night.
Tips:
- If you color many pieces of Japanese paper, stir the colored water before you dip each of them in the tray.
